FINISHED "TOM" ~ ~ ~

Well ~ I did it!!  I finally finished off my 'wild-cat' rug better known as "TOM" ~ he's Barbara Carroll's design.  He got pretty wild in color but actually, as everything got hooked in, the colors toned down a lot.  And here in our dark house, he doesn't look that wild at all!  He's ready for binding and I'm hoping to find time for that this weekend.

It's gonna be a scorcher here in Ohio this weekend ~ mid 90's with a heat index of over 100 deg.   Woo hoo!  I'm so looking forward to that!  This big girl can hardly take the heat so hopefully all our fun functions are inside ~ next to the air vents!!!  Can you believe how hot our summers have gotten?  I swear there must be something to the global warming thing!

Ta ta for now ~ happy weekend to you wherever you are!

Wow, Alice!!! I love the rug! The colors aren't wild to me, I really like them. Those pumpkiny oranges are really nice.
Oh, yea, the heat is terrible!!! I for one AM DEFINITELY staying in and sitting on the AC vent!! LOL
Stay cool!!!

Alice,
You already know how much I liked Tom. Be sure to send a picture to Barb for her website. It will look so good next to the others. Bet it's the most brilliant of them.

While you are having the kind of scorching weather we have had here, remember us and the thought of Tropical Storm Bonnie and what is going to happen when she hits that oil spill!

Since I will be on the east side of the storm, maybe we will get some rain and a relief from the heat indexes in the 100s.

What is your next project? An MShaw pattern perchance?

Alice,
I really love the way "Tom" turned out! He is so folky looking and the colors you used are great! Love the border! He'd fit right in here with all my primitives!

Hope you are prepared to last out the heat and humidity! Our evenings are starting to cool down here and mornings aren't too bad now.

Hopefully it will cool down a little for you folks out there soon! Take Care!

Alice ~
Tom came out just great!
I think tomorrow is supposed to spell r-e-l-i-e-f from this heat and humidity. It's going to be another scorcher on the north coast, too. Thankfully we got some much needed rain last night! I do like warm weather but this is a bit much and my a/c doesn't work...waaahhhhh!
Pug hugs :)

Thanks, girls, for liking "Tom" ~ I do, too, now that he's finished ~ well, almost ~ I didn't get much binding done! Since you asked ~ I have 3 unfinished pieces that I must do before I start something else. Two are small and then there's the big one from last year's class at Sauder Village ~ one of those is next!!
