AT LONG LAST ~ ~ ~

The Home Tour Edition of Country Sampler magazine with our home in it, is out! I'm not sure if it's on the newsstands yet, but a friend who receives it by mail, has received hers!!

A copy is waiting at home for us ~ can't wait to see it!! I'm going to check down here to see if I can find it!! The photos were taken a year and a half ago so it's been a long wait!

We're having a restful time ~ the shark teeth hunting is not as productive as past years ~ but we still go to the beach every day to look! We have found more beach glass here than usual so that's a little bonus!!

The beach at our complex is gone ~ the water is right up to the rocks!! So we slug thru the water to get to the beach next to us or walk down the street to a beach access ~ kind of an adventure!!

We've missed a tremendous amount of snow and cold ~ good timing!!

Spring is on it's way!!

SARASOTA ART SHOW ~ ~ ~

Saturday, we stopped here before we went Cortez ~ we do like to fill a day!

FUN DAY YESTERDAY ~ ~

At the Cortez Fishing Festival! This is a huge pan of crawfish that smelled heavenly! We grazed on crawfish étouffée, fried flounder, softshell crab, shrimp, conch fritters, gator bites and hush puppies! So much to choose from and so little time!

Florida Fun ~ ~ ~

The water is so pretty here on Manasota Key ~ but pretty wild the last couple of days. We've seen dolphin and stingrays jump out the water ~ that's exciting every time!


Yesterday, we went to Venice Beach to watch the surfers ~ there were quite a few ~ if you enlarge this, you can see the little black dots that are the surfers bobbing about, waiting to ride the waves!


This Manasota Beach sidewalk is embedded with shark teeth ~ good idea!

Friend Diane and I being silly! We are having a pretty relaxing vacation. Going to an art show in Sarasota tomorrow and then up to the Cortez Fishing Festival!!

FLORIDA ~ ~ ~

This beautiful metal sculpture marks the roundabout at Englewood Beach. That's my morning destination and is a mile from our condo ~,then I walk back via the beach!!


This guy stalks the fisherman in front of our condo ~ pretty funny!


Morning yoga ~ over a hundred yogis on the beach every morning!

Yesterday ~ so lucky to see this fellow in the gulf yesterday!


This was how we left home ~ kids gave the limo ride to Sonny for his big birthday!!!!



We've had some great food ~ that's part of our vacation experience. People are saying they gain weight looking at my Facebook posts!! Love to share and hope you can see them on Facebook!

Time to get ready to meet sone Mansfield friends for happy hour!!
